South Callaway High School students participated in Manufacturing Day by visiting Walsworth, Danuser, Hitachi and nVent. They learned about various jobs at each location, participated in tours, and got to ask questions about potential futures with each company. Students also participated in the Build My Future Event in Jefferson City. This event included several different construction trades, colleges/trade schools, and various employers/businesses. Students got the chance to weld, drive heavy equipment, and use carpentry tools to build items to take home. #rootEdMissouri

Mrs. Spencer's library classes were treated to some special guests who helped them understand investigative techniques. Investigator Shouse and Investigator Hammond spoke to students about evidence collection, specifically regarding fingerprint gathering and photography. Students are now using what they learned and applying it to the fictional library mystery.

The ES celebrated the 1st Quarter by honoring students yesterday at an awards assembly. Our character trait this quarter was “Respect.” A student from each class was selected for going above and beyond displaying respect towards others. The second award represented Bulldog Leadership. As a student of South Callaway Elementary we strive to provide students with leadership opportunities in our daily tasks. These students shined in those roles the past couple of months. Congratulations to these award winners.
