South Callaway Baseball Youth Appreciation Tuesday, April 14 - Open to All SC Baseball Players K-8th Grade. Players need to report to the field by 4:40 pm. They will run onto the field with the varsity starters for the National Anthem. 8th graders can stay in the dugout for the first few innings. Make sure to wear your Youth Baseball Camp T-shirt or an SC Shirt. Limited edition SC Baseball Hats $25 @ Concession Stand.

Today we celebrate the heart, dedication, and unwavering support of our incredible paraprofessionals at South Callaway R-II School District. Their patience, compassion, and commitment are unmatched. In cooperation with Riverview Nursing Center and the Peter R. Marsh Foundation, Band 7 performed three songs from their upcoming Spring Concert for the residents on Wednesday March 25. After the brief concert, our band students took time to visit with the residents who were in attendance, talking about their instruments and what is going on in middle school. Thank you again to all of our partners who helped make this year's Riverview Concert Series possible.

Recently, our 5th Graders were introduced to new class options that they can take in Middle School, including Band. Current members of our Band program showcased their instruments, fielded questions and then a few lucky 5th graders even got to try out instruments in this fun event. If you have a current 5th grader that is interested in being in Band in 6th grade, please contact Mrs. Foster, our Middle School Counselor, who is in charge of scheduling for 6th graders.

Our SRO Takes the Polar Plunge for Missouri Special Olympics!
As Callaway County School Resource Officers participated in the Missouri Special Olympics Polar Plunge Challenge, our own South Callaway R-II School Resource Officer Cody Vandelicht came out on top raising a whopping $2115 in donations for a great cause. Deputy Vandelicht received donations from student groups, teachers, administrators, parents and the community when he joined the group taking the Polar Plunge in Stephens Lake in Columbia on a very CHILLY March morning. Congratulations and THANK YOU to our own Bulldog SRO!

Middle School Drama Club Attends Dinner & a Show!
The South Callaway Middle School Drama Club recently took a trip to Capital City Productions on March 7th to see a performance of Hadestown: Teen Edition.

28 students and two sponsors attended the event and enjoyed dinner together before the show, bringing sack lunches and sharing a fun meal at the theater. Afterward, students watched a fantastic production and had the chance to experience the energy and creativity of live theatre.

It was a wonderful opportunity for our drama students to see a live performance and gain inspiration for their own work on stage

On March 14th, 15 students from South Callaway Middle School traveled to Southern Boone to compete in the International Academic Competition's Central Missouri Regional Bees for both Geography and History. We are proud to share that all 15 students qualified to attend, representing our school with knowledge, determination, and great academic sportsmanship!
