SOUTH CALLAWAY R-II RECOGNIZES BOARD OF EDUCATION MEMBERS IN MARCH!
Missourians benefit every day from the dedicated energies and countless hours devoted by the more than 3,600 local school board members in every community across the state. These public servants are elected by local constituents and do not receive compensation for their tireless efforts. As citizens who serve students and represent their communities, school board members face complex and demanding challenges.
During the month of March, communities across the state will honor the dedicated service of local boards of education during School Board Recognition Month.
“Local school boards play a vital leadership role in providing our students with the finest possible education,” says MSBA Executive Director Melissa Randol. “We thank school board members for their commitment to their communities and to the students in their school districts across Missouri.”
At South Callaway R-II Schools, members of the Board of Education will be recognized throughout the month. “These incredible South Callaway stakeholders give up their time and talents to make sure our graduates are success-ready young adults with a strong educational foundation from which to build their lives as happy, healthy citizens,” said Superintendent Corey Pontius. “We cannot thank them enough for their commitment to providing a high-quality education for all.”

SCHS participated in the District 2 FBLA Leadership conference on Friday, February 14th, at Eugene High School. Seventeen students participated in events, while ten attended the in person conference.
Twenty-six events qualified for the state leadership conference in Springfield MO on April 13th-15th. Check out these top 10 in all events! Mrs. Wiggans is very proud of each of you!!!
3rd Grade Math
South Callaway R-II will be doing Distance Learning (AMI) on Thursday, February 13, 2025 due to poor road conditions. This cancellation extends to the planned in-person Parent-Teacher Conferences. Progress reports will be delivered as usual.
