Mrs. Spencer's library classes were treated to some special guests who helped them understand investigative techniques. Investigator Shouse and Investigator Hammond spoke to students about evidence collection, specifically regarding fingerprint gathering and photography. Students are now using what they learned and applying it to the fictional library mystery.

The ES celebrated the 1st Quarter by honoring students yesterday at an awards assembly. Our character trait this quarter was “Respect.” A student from each class was selected for going above and beyond displaying respect towards others. The second award represented Bulldog Leadership. As a student of South Callaway Elementary we strive to provide students with leadership opportunities in our daily tasks. These students shined in those roles the past couple of months. Congratulations to these award winners.

Our South Callaway Middle School Bulldogs competed in a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) competition against 6 other conference schools in Harrisburg today — and brought home the FIRST PLACE trophy! This is the first year for this event, and we couldn’t be more proud of our students’ teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Students competed in three exciting challenges to earn points:
* Egg Drop Challenge – designing and testing their best crash-proof containers!
* Robotics with Sphero Coding Challenge – programming precision and speed!
* Breakout Challenge – critical thinking under pressure!
Way to go, Bulldogs! Your innovation and collaboration truly shine!
