Middle School World History Students are Learning About Ancient Civilizations!

Our 6th grade World History students recently explored the Ancient Greeks using a concept mapping activity to deepen their understanding of the reading. After reading the article, students selected 12 important words that reflected key ideas from the text.

From there, they sorted and organized the words, creating concept maps that showed how the ideas were connected. Students also wrote explanations to describe the relationships between their words. #SouthCallawayStudents! #SuccessReadyCitizens!

Middle School Students Help SRO Take the Polar Plunge!

The South Callaway Middle School Student Council recently hosted Hat Days and donated 30% of their chocolate sales from the week of March 2nd to support a great cause. Because of the generosity of our students and staff, they were able to donate $150 to our School Resource Officer, Officer Cody Vandelicht, for his Polar Plunge Challenge on Friday. Anyone wishing to add to the students' total can go to https://bit.ly/4aAhduv to make their own donation!

All of the money he raises will go to support the Special Olympics, helping provide opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities to compete, grow, and shine.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make a difference. We’re proud of our students for supporting such an important cause!
