NO SCHOOL - South Callaway R-II Schools Monday, January 26, 2026 - Due to the poor road conditions and extreme temperatures, there will be NO SCHOOL for South Callaway tomorrow , Monday, January 26, 2026.
Each student from the Intro to ASL class created their own game to reinforce spelling.
Students gathered all the things they needed and made cards, sentences, and game boards. Students from the ES Action Team were randomly divided into each group and actively participated in all of these games. Teamwork at its finest!

The boys basketball game v Tipton has been postponed for Friday 1/23 and re-scheduled for Thursday Feb 2/19.

SC - It's been a long-standing tradition at South Callaway Elementary to kick off the new year with some fun, laughter, and friendly competition, and this year's Winter Olympics did not disappoint! Our students brought incredible energy and school spirit to the games! We are so glad to be back and look forward to a fantastic year! - South Callaway R-II Students - Success Ready Citizens!

5-Year Service Awards were presented to Michelle AuBuchon, Leigh Rogers, Collin Byrd, Donna Sanford, and Emily Beck (not-pictured). 10-Year Service Awards were presented to Danny Sanford, Kati Hooker, and Debbie Popplewell. 15-Year Awards were presented to April Hozem and Susan Russell. 20-Year Service Awards were presented to Kathy Meets, Jamie Meyers, Jasmine Wiggans, Michelle Lallier, and Sarah Spanel. A 25-Year Service Award was presented to Kenny Fort, and 30-Year Service Awards were presented to Mary Van Orden, CIndy Jordan, and Howard Stambaugh.

The Students at South Callaway and The School Market want to say a heartfelt "Thank you" to all of our wonderful South Callaway community members for their donations to The School Market. We have been so blessed beyond measure to receive Thanksgiving boxes, non-perishable food, clothes, school supplies, Christmas gifts, and so much more! These donations touch the lives of countless students and their families. This community is so special and we cannot thank you enough for showing up for our kiddos when they need it the most! - Resource Spotlight: The Arthur Center The Arthur Center in Fulton is now accepting new patients! They are now able to complete intake assessments at their Fulton campus. So now, instead of driving to Mexico, you can be seen right in Fulton! The Arthur Center-Fulton location specializes in mental/behavioral health, Mediaid enrollment and presumptive eligibility, housing assistance, disability application assistance, and more! The Climate & Culture Survey Results are now available!
The South Callaway R-II School district thanks all who completed one of the three surveys conducted last October. Now that the results have been analyzed, we are excited to give you an overview of the results and some information about how we use them.
The data gathered is used by the Board of Education, District Administration, and the Comprehensive School Improvement Committee to set strategic priorities, district & building goals, and create action plans that address strengths and areas in which growth is needed.
Our Bulldog Community is strongest when we work together to grow and improve. This is just the latest example of how we do that each and every day!
