SC R-II Board of Education Honors SY 24-25 Retirees.
The Board of Education honored four retirees from the district at the May 14th meeting with a formal presentation of gifts and a cookies & punch reception that followed. Mrs. Vickie Bartley, Mr. Jay Trammell, Mr. Chris Gray, and Mrs. Amanda Wogan will retire at the end of the school year. Each has been an integral part of the South Callaway R-II District contributing a combined total of 85.5 years of service to the district and 99 years of service to Missouri Public Education.

Baseball Academic All State Players
Our SC Baseball Team also finished 1st in Class 3 with a Team GPA of 3.76.

Five educators from the EC attended the ShowMe Science of Reading conference in COMO this week. It was two days packed with energizing, evidence based learning from top literacy leaders.

Congratulations to our three musicians who all medaled at the MSHSAA State Music Festival this Saturday on the campus of the University of Missouri. Ash Gray earned gold on his clarinet solo. Elise Sebacher earned silver on her vocal solo. Gage Niederschulte earned silver on his trombone solo.
SCMS Inducts 30 Students into National Jr. Honor Society!
The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is an organization that values scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship and helps middle school students develop the knowledge and skills to become well-rounded student leaders in their school, community, and beyond.
South Callaway Middle School inducted 30 7th and 8th grade students in a formal ceremony held on Friday, May 2 in the Performing Arts Center.
Nichols Career Center Recognition
South Callaway will be hosting our annual athletic physicals day on Friday, May 9th. Location will be in the HS PAC (auditorium) and the cost will be $10 (cash and checks will be accepted. Checks made payable to SCHS.
MS students will be released at 2:00 and begin first. HS students will be released at the end of the school day. Any student K-5 will need to be accompanied by an adult after school.
A MSHSAA pre-physical form must be filled out prior to taking the physical. Hard copies can be picked up in building offices or found on www.mshsaa.org
