Kindergarten Readiness Camp

What an incredible way to wrap up an amazing three days of learning, growing, and preparing for middle school! We started the morning by learning how to use a planner and then explored Leader in Me and the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, discussing how these habits can help them build strong friendships, and making responsible choices. Next came a high-energy Math Breakout Challenge, where campers worked together to solve math puzzles and complete physical challenges to unlock clues. Students then enjoyed a tour of our Agriculture Department with Mr. Fort, getting a firsthand look at the exciting opportunities available through our agriculture program. We wrapped up camp with one of our favorite activities—a panel of current 8th-grade students! Campers had the opportunity to ask questions about middle school life, hear advice from experienced students, and gain confidence as they prepare for their first day at SC Middle School.

What a fantastic start to our Middle School Readiness Camp! We welcomed 23 incoming 6th graders for a fun-filled day of learning, teamwork, and preparing for success.

Students kicked off the day with an engaging icebreaker that highlighted the importance of communication skills and the tools they'll need to thrive in middle school. They also explored a map of the school and color-coded their class schedules to help build confidence in navigating the building.

In celebration of Shark Week, campers read about sharks and then showcased their creativity by creating comic book strips to demonstrate what they learned.

We wrapped up the day with PE activities, including stretches, a relay race, and a relaxing cool-down to end an exciting first day.

Our 3rd through 5th graders are having a blast in our Power Up program exploring what is beneath us. Students crafted giant squids for their ocean lesson, sculpted Play Doh formations, and even built classroom caves to read inside with flashlights. We still have two more days of hands-on fun and discovery ahead.

📣🎉Join us for South Callaway School District's FIRST On-Campus Back-To-School Fair!!! We will be celebrating the brand new school year by providing some beginning of the year essentials to our Bulldog students all while enjoying some treats and fun while we're at it! 🍧🍿

ALSO! Some of our valued community partners will be in attendance to discuss the AMAZING resources they offer! It's going to be a great event with prizes, free goodies, snacks, and activities for students and their families. We are SO excited to see you there!

(Please note: While we are continuously collecting donations and supplies, back to school supplies, shoes, backpacks, and other essentials will be offered on a first come first serve basis as some quantities will be limited.)
